Masta

We are excited and privileged to be working alongside Masta.

We get sent lots of fantastic products to test, trial and use on our horses and report back to Masta.

We have been extremely impressed with the quality of the products, especially the protechmasta range  which has amazing beneficial qualities for our horses.

We share lots of posts and comments over on our social media forums about all the products we are currently trialling out, take a look.

Regionals and Livery success.

Well its been a busy week of preening and training our ponies ready for the Winter Regionals at Myerscough International Arena.

It is fantastic that four horses from my yard that I have large input with qualified and competed at the Regionals.

Katie and Otto, Katy and Alice, Charlotte and Tess and Rolex and I.

Katie and Otto did superbly well in a strong Elementary freestyle class considering Katie’s run up was hindered with illness and she hadn’t competed in some time, Otto performed really well, so well done to them both. Katie is now starting competing at Medium level.

Charlotte and Tess, well what can I say other than I was SUPER proud of my little protégé who is only 14 years old and riding a very advanced sharp horse in a highly contested Novice Open class along with true adult professionals, Charlotte held her own and looked wonderful. Charlotte and Tess are off to the Nationals in April in the Petplan Finals.

Victoria Fisher and Lady G also started their BD career with a bang, Lady only being 4 went out first time and came home with plus 70%!! Well done.

Well done to all my liveries in all their disciplines. It isn’t only the competing liveries but also my happy hackers and pleasure riders who achieve their own set goals month in month out.

Much more to come from team SFE xx

Stephen Clarke returned to Shaw Farm!

What a fantastic day we all had when the guru of dressage that is Stephen Clarke when he revisited us this month.

Stephens style of training is totally different and he is a man of few words, however those few words are bound to teach you a thing or too!!

We had a full clinic with him, along with a large waiting list. Each and every rider on the day came away very satisfied and full of excitement.

Stephen will be back with us again soon, I will post dates on here as soon as we have something organised.

Dancing ponies are coming to Shaw Farm

We are excited to announce we are holding a Dressage to Music Clinic at our yard.

Throughout our Dressage Series we have seen a keen interest in the Music element to Dressage however many people feel intimidated to put together some music and design a floor plan. Well worry no more, we will do it all for you!

Myself and Katie Amos, both active BD Riders will work closely together to produce some fantastic music to match your horses tempo and your style, we will also design a floor plan to best show off your ponies.

Within the price you will receive a one to one session, 2 cd’s of your individual music, electronic version of the music, a printed floor plan and reduced entry to your first FSM class at SFE.

Check out our calendar page for further information.

Intro – Novice tests catered for in a 40×20 arena.

Busy couple of months at Shaw Farm.

Well I haven’t had chance to update you all on our activities just recently, but its been a manic and exciting few weeks at Shaw Farm.

We have had our first Dressage Competition of the series, which was hugely successful and supported very well, lets hope this continues for our next competitions on 22nd March and 19th April. We have Intro, Prelim, Novice, Elementary and FSM classes, so there is something for all. Our dressage series is friendly and encouraging, so please come and have a go…….you never know you might just love it!

Then came our first clear round fun day of 2014, again this was a very successful event, the yard was heaving. Everyone had a go, a giggle and left with a smile. We are going to continue running clear round fun days on a monthly basis, the classes are 35cm – 85cm so why not get your jumping shoes on! Check out our calendar for dates and information.

Two of our liveries successfully qualified for the Winter Dressage Regional Championships, well done to Katie Amos and Karen Burns, it just shows being based on an indoor yard with all year round facilities can ensure your training continues throughout the worst months.

We have had livery enquiries coming in thick and fast just recently, but I am pleased to say we are currently full, we do operate a waiting list, so do keep calling!

We are still running monthly clinics with the lovely Leonie Smith, who trains all levels of flatwork riders. And Tracey Newman BSJA trainer for polework, gridwork and jumping lessons. Dates are on our calendar.

We welcomed a new pony to the yard in March – Upsy Daisy, she is a 3 year old warmblood, we have got her in for backing and then produce for sale so watch this space. She is a real beaut!

I will keep updates coming a little more often over the coming weeks.

Esther

Liveries Success!

Our Liveries have been storming ahead just recently which is always fantastic for us to see!

We have 2 of our liveries off to the Winter Dressage Regionals for Novice Restricted and also the Novice Freestyle to Music, huge well done to Katie Amos and her super talented gelding Otto, and to Karen Burns and the amazing 21 year old Mary who puts many of our younger ponies to shame!!

Haydn and Armani are also doing brilliantly well on the eventing circuit, they have only just started out and keep coming home with improved scores on each trip, there is a very exciting future ahead for them.

Helen Kettleborough and her fabulous new Stallion Opus are also proving to be tough competition on the Iberian circuit with many wins to their name, Helen has recently purchased Opus so their success is set to continue and get ever more exciting in the months to come.

We also had 8 of us competing at PRC’s dressage competition in August and all 3 classes were won by one of the SFE team, everybody performed really well and it was a superb effort from all at the yard.

Well done to all of my Liveries and lets hope the success continues.
