Well I haven’t had chance to update you all on our activities just recently, but its been a manic and exciting few weeks at Shaw Farm.
We have had our first Dressage Competition of the series, which was hugely successful and supported very well, lets hope this continues for our next competitions on 22nd March and 19th April. We have Intro, Prelim, Novice, Elementary and FSM classes, so there is something for all. Our dressage series is friendly and encouraging, so please come and have a go…….you never know you might just love it!
Then came our first clear round fun day of 2014, again this was a very successful event, the yard was heaving. Everyone had a go, a giggle and left with a smile. We are going to continue running clear round fun days on a monthly basis, the classes are 35cm – 85cm so why not get your jumping shoes on! Check out our calendar for dates and information.
Two of our liveries successfully qualified for the Winter Dressage Regional Championships, well done to Katie Amos and Karen Burns, it just shows being based on an indoor yard with all year round facilities can ensure your training continues throughout the worst months.
We have had livery enquiries coming in thick and fast just recently, but I am pleased to say we are currently full, we do operate a waiting list, so do keep calling!
We are still running monthly clinics with the lovely Leonie Smith, who trains all levels of flatwork riders. And Tracey Newman BSJA trainer for polework, gridwork and jumping lessons. Dates are on our calendar.
We welcomed a new pony to the yard in March – Upsy Daisy, she is a 3 year old warmblood, we have got her in for backing and then produce for sale so watch this space. She is a real beaut!
I will keep updates coming a little more often over the coming weeks.
